The automatic welding helmet VarioProtect XL efficiently protects operator’s eyes when welding against harmful radiation in the visible range, ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) by certain arc and gas welding processes. The automatic welding helmet is designed for all types of electrofusion processes with electrodes: Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG), metal inert gas – metal active gas (MIG-MAG) and electrode welding as well as grinding. Not suitable for use in laser welding, oxygen and acetylene welding and cutting processes. The welding filter in the VarioProtect XL was developed, to protect the eyes and face from welding sparks, spatter and harmful radiation under normal welding conditions. The welding filter switches automatically its state from light to dark when an arc is ignited. The visibility through the automatic welding helmet automatically brightens when no more welding is done. The VarioProtect XL is ready to use immediately upon delivery. Before you start the welding, all you have to do is adjust the helmet headbands and select the correct level of brightness. Please check battery functions before use
